Emmanuel Leducq-Barome

Emmanuel Leducq-Barome - French conductor - was born in Annecy (France) in 1971.
Since August 2014 Emmanuel Leducq-Barome has been appointed to chief conductor and artistic director of the Academic Symphony Orchestra of Saratov Philharmonic named after Schnittke.
At the same time, maestro and his friend and colleague Lev Klichkov breathe a new life into the Baltic Chamber Orchestra of Saint-Petersburg.
Emmanuel Leducq-Barome was born in 1971 in France. After he graduated from the Conservatory of Lyon (violin class), he studied orchestral conducting at the Conservatory of Geneva. In September 1993, Emmanuel began his studies at the Saint-Petersburg Conservatory (class of Mariss Jansons). Later, in 1994, he continued his studies under supervision of professor Ilya Musin.
Since 1997 maestro held the post of chief conductor of the Chamber Orchestra of Philharmonic in Kaliningrad, Russia. He appeared with the major Russian orchestras, in particular, with the Academic Symphony Orchestra of Moscow Philharmonic and with the Saint-Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra. In September 2000, Emmanuel Leducq-Barome and the leading musicians of Honoured Ensemble of Russia - the Saint-Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra founded the Baltic Chamber Orchestra under the leadership of maestro Leduc-Barom as an artistic director.
In 2001, Emmanuel Leducq-Barome became an award winner of the French Association for Artistic Action. He had performances with numerous French orchestras, including Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestra de Cannes, Orchestra de Bretagne, Lorraine Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre de Picardie, Orchestra de Bordeaux, etc.
In January 2007, maestro opened the opera season in Rio de Janeiro, which was followed by numerous invitations from South America. He made his debut in the United States in June of the same year.
In March 2009, Emmanuel Leducq-Barome played his first concert with the Honoured Ensemble of Russia - the Saint-Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra, when under his conduction cantata “Joan of Arc at the Stake” by Arthur Honegger was performed for the first time in St Petersburg. Joan of Arc part was played by Ksenia Rappaport. The Saint-Petersburg State Capella Choir also took part in the performing of this dramatic oratorio. After that premiere maestro has had the regular joint concerts with the Honored Ensemble of Russia at Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic.
Emmanuel Leducq-Barome performed in concerts with such famous soloists as Natalia Gutman, Régis Pasquier, Arto Noras, Pierre Amoyal, Yakov Kasman, Iliya Yakushev, Xavier de Maistre, Liana Isakadze and Denis Matzuev...
During almost three years maestro reconsidered his vision of his oeuvre and the music in general. That is why his musical activity was not so intensive as before. However, thanks to that calm period and a great spiritual work maestro has reached a new level of his oeuvre.
