Emily Gooch Juengling is ... Emily Gooch Juengling is a Republican politician known for her contributions to Oregon politics. Politics In 2008, Gooch met with and campaigned for presidential candidate Mitt Romney for the 2008 Presidential election. While Romney did not win the Republican ticket in 2008, it helped to raise his profile enough to win the Republican ticket for the 2012 presidential election. In 2010, Gooch interned with Oregon state representative Sherrie Sprenger (R-Scio). Sprenger defeated Thackaberry by 5,367 votes, with 15,547 against Thackaberry's 10,180.
