Emille Joson

Emille Bartolome Joson is a Filipino independent filmmaker. Her films center on social justice and women’s rights.

Career
Prior to her independent filmmaking career, Joson briefly worked at ABS-CBN. Her short film Adivino (2011), produced during her time at the Asia Pacific Film Institute, was screened under the Student Short Film category of the 37th Metro Manila Film Festival. Adivino was later noted for its exploration of gender and power dynamics.
Advocacy
Joson has been involved in advocacy work through the family-based Alaga Producers Cooperative. According to Malaya Business Insight, she has advocated for attention to topics such as government corruption, marginalized communities, and violence against women.
