Embry Riddle Resident Student Association

----
The Embry-Riddle Resident Student Association (ERRSA) is the student run division of the Department of Housing and Residence Life at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, United States. The purpose of ERRSA is to build community in the residence education system, to represent residents by gathering feedback and acting as a liaison between students and the Department of Housing and Residence Life, and to encourage students to get involved within the residence halls.

Affiliations
ERRSA is affiliated with the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH), the South Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (SAACURH), and the Florida Association of Residence Halls (FARH).

Organization
ERRSA was founded in 1996 with Michael Capace as its first president, Alan Kayanan as Vice President and David Prus as Treasurer. With the goal of enhancing resident life at Embry-Riddle; ERRSA devised several different methods to accomplish this goal:

Executive Board
The ERRSA executive board consists of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Programming Coordinator, Campus Communications Coordinator, and National Communications Coordinator. The President presides over General Board meetings and serves as a liaison between ERRSA and the Department of Housing and Resident Life. The other officers serve as active members of the Executive and General Board, and chair the Office Committee, Finance Committee, Programming Committee, Communications Committee, and Conference Committee respectively.

General Board
ERRSA which meets once a week to tackle issues within the residence halls. Each residential area on campus is represented by one or more voting representatives, who are elected at the beginning of the fall semester. Each Hall Representative also is required to join one of the standing committees in addition to the General Board. Hall Representatives serve as a liaison between their residents and ERRSA.

Office
ERRSA established an office where residents can rent movies, board games, DVD players, and vacuums. Residents are also able to play video games or watch television on a big screen.

In addition, ERRSA offers services such as "roommate searches" for residents who are searching for someone to live with for the next semester.
