Embedded Systems Conference

The Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) is a conference and expo that takes place in six locations around the world. ESC is the largest gathering for System Architects and Design Engineers, focusing on networking, innovation and training. ESC provides attendees with product demonstrations, speeches by industry experts, technical training classes and accreditation opportunities.
Locations
ESC Silicon Valley
The first ESC Silicon Valley conference was held in 1989 and is the largest Embedded Systems Event in North America with 10,000 attendees and more than 350 exhibitors. Attendees come from various locations, however the majority 83% come from California and 4% are international. The conference program includes nearly 200 classes across 8 tracks. ESC Silicon valley is hosted at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, CA. Keynote speakers have included Al Gore, Dr. Michio Kaku, and Ken Mattingly
ESC Boston
ESC Boston was first held in 1989 and showcases 150+ industry exhibitors and features a comprehensive technical program including 21 industry tracks and 85+ sessions, tutorials, classes and panels. The Boston Embedded Systems Conference is smaller than ESC Silicon Valley and is slightly more systems oriented. The event is held at the Hynes Convention Center and has seen changes in its attendance since its inception. In 2008 there were 3,473 attendees and the event has been growing. The largest group of attendees come from Massachusetts - 60% and an additional 8% are International attendees. Keynote speakers have included T.J. Rodgers and Avi Rubin.
ESC India
The inaugural ESC India was held in 2007 at the NIMHANS Convention Centre in Bangalore.
In India, ESC specifically caters to the embedded systems engineers and technical managers actively seeking for solutions to upgrade their design expertise, knowledge and skills. In its fourth edition, ESC India 2010 to be held in Bangalore from July 21-23, 2010 will focus on the critical issues faced in the embedded software and hardware domain, showcase new technologies and provide answers to design challenges.
ESC UK
The first event was originally branded as the Embedded Systems Show (ESS) and its inaugural year was 1993. In 2009 The show was re-branded as ESC UK and saw a 10% increase in attendance over that of 2008. The show is held at FiVE International Show Centre in Farnborough, Hampshire. In 2009 there were more than 1150 attendees and 65 electronics exhibitors.
IP - ESC France
The first IP - Embedded Systems Conference France was held in Grenoble in 1992. This conference has been centered around Intellectual property (IP)-based System-on-a-chip (SoC) design since 2001.
ESC Chicago
ESC Chicago takes place at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.
