Elyon Abel

Elyon Ezekiel Abel (born May 30, 1978) is a Nigerian preacher, Christian author and the founder of the Elohim Covenant of Grace Christian Centre. Growing up as a teacher of the Word of God (known as the Christian Bible), he was nicknamed the Holy Spirit as he was always mentioning it in his teachings. Abel believes the worship center which he founded is a place where people come for solutions.
Ministry
Abel started his ministry in 2016. It was previously called Covenant of Grace Christian Centre, but was changed to Elohim Covenant of Grace Christian Centre when it was incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission in July 2021. The ministry is located in Awka, the capital city of a southeastern state in Nigeria called Anambra State. The ministry began its Sunday worship at Abel's residence with an attendance of 25 people and grew to a membership of about 300 in the same year.
In one of his teachings on Proclaiming the Word (referring to the text of the Bible), Abel said power is released via the proclamation of the Word. According to his message, understanding the power within determines how an individual puts the proclaimed Word to work. In a teaching delivered on the Valentine's Day 2022, Abel said that one of the causes of failure in marriage is couples getting married based on just feelings. According to him, every man has a responsibility to his wife. He urged the congregation not to marry selfishly, but purposefully. Abel said there must be an understanding with married couples that propels love to be seen.
Written works
Abel has authored a couple of books; one of them, Utterance of Power, is available via Amazon.
