Eloisa Jayloni

Maria Eloisa Doroteo Jayloni (born April 24, 1991) is a Filipino singer-songwriter from Taguig, Philippines who is known for her acoustic guitar driven folksy pop music.
Personal life
Eloisa, born on April 24, 1991 in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, is the eldest daughter of Elmer Jayloni and Luisa Doroteo, and has two younger sisters, Emerlisa and Erlisa. Although born in Laguna, she was raised by her parents in Upper Bicutan, Taguig City.
Growing up, she attended elementary school at the Living Hope Christian Academy and the Upper Bicutan Elementary School where her musical talents were first developed. At a young age, she joined singing competitions both in and outside the school. She was also regularly invited to sing at various school events. During her sixth elementary year, her parents separated, her father eventually moving off to Australia to start a brand new family. Eloisa attended high school at the Ramon Pascual Institute in Paranaque where she was also frequently invited to sing, mostly at school programs. Aside from growing up on music, she also participated in various athletic activities in school, and on several occasions, represented her school as a varsity player.
Coming from a family made up mostly of engineers, Eloisa entered the Technological University of the Philippines-Taguig on 2007 to pursue a degree in engineering. During this period, she supported her education as a working student, since her mother has already moved back to Laguna. She continued her non-professional musical calling by joining various school bands and joining band competitions, mostly as a singer. Finally on April 2012, she completed her academic courses as a Bachelor of Sciences in Engineering graduate.
Music career
Her professional public music career began when she started busking at the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in 2014 to share her musical talents. At first, she busked as a way out of depression but eventually she realized that it might be a good avenue for her to hone and promote her songwriting skills.
In 2015, she attended the Elements National Songwriting Camp where she drew inspiration from local songwriting celebrities who became her coaches for the duration of the event. The likes of Ryan Cayabyab, Jungee Marcelo and Trina Belarmide, all respected and established pillars of the Philippine music industry, who were present during the camp, strengthened her resolve to pursue her career in music. From this, she was able to write her single, Pangarap.
Soon after, still in 2015, she joined a songwriting contest sponsored by Angee Rozul, where the prize at stake was a free recording contract. Eloisa won the contest and immediately started working on her solo album. Several months later, she released her self-titled independent album Pangarap ni Eloisa consisting of 7 original songs. The album was released at Nagsasa, Zambales, on April 16, 2016 during a beach front gig. It was released under an independent label.
From there, invitations and booking steadily started to grow. Because of this, in June 2017, Eloisa decided to leave her day job to pursue a career as a full-time singer/songwriter musician.
On October 2017, she was featured in a documentary, Reel Time, on a Philippine national tv network, GMA. The documentary mainly focused on her life as a musician and a busker, busking being a relatively unusual venue for aspiring musicians in the Philippines at that time. The documentary gained more than 130,000 views which contributed to her rising popularity as a singer/songwriter.
On November 2017, she joined the Nemesis Music Group, an artist management outfit. As her career in music progressed, she enlisted several musicians from the local band scene to accompany her on gigs, transforming her acoustic sets to full band performances. Other notable events during this period was a private invitation to perform in Vietnam to which she obliged. In June 2018, she left the Nemesis Music Group to sign up with Warner Music Philippines.
On August 5, 2018, the official music video of her single, Blangko, under JH Hernandez Productions, was released to the public via YouTube. On the same day, the music video for the song debuted on the Philippine music channel, MYX, which was aired during the program, Pinoy Myx.
Aside from her career in music, she is presently pursuing her masters degree in Business Management at the Technological University of the Philippines.
