Elizabeth Espinosa

Rose Elizabeth Espinosa is the executive director of communication for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department and a former news reporter in the Los Angeles tv market.
Biography
Prior to joining KTLA, she was one of the correspondents for Good Day L.A. on KTTV. She also reported for KMEX and for XETV San Diego, and has presented weekly movie review segment on the "Fox Morning Show". From February 2014 until October 2015, she co-hosted a two-hour early afternoon program on KFI with Mark Thompson.
A Los Angeles native, she received a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA 1997, Phi Beta Kappa, and speaks 5 languages.
In 2019 she left KTLA 5 to become the executive communication director for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Your OWN Show: Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star
In December 2010 she was one of 10 finalists to host a show on the Oprah Winfrey Network. As a contestant on Your OWN Show: Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star, she said she would like to host a show about learning disabilities. Her younger brother who has learning disability inspired her idea to host such a show. Espinosa was eliminated in the fifth episode of the contest.
