Elie Fahed

Elie Fahed (born May 8, 1989) is a Lebanese film director. Elie studied Bio-Chemistry for two years, but his passion for cinema and films pushed him to study it and increased the desire to be a filmmaker.

He studied film making at the Lebanese University Fine Arts Institute. At the second year of his studies, his scenario project (Ma Yenaad Aaleik) was selected in the Beirut International Film Festival 2011.
"I love when Cinema meets the reality through characters and events, because at some point life is the most interesting element to be talked about, and what's better than Cinema to do this?"
Starring Julia (in Arabic "Men Boutoulet Julia") is his bachelor short film which tells the story of Julia, a 70 year-old lady who one day decides to pursue her lifetime dream of becoming an actress.
"Dreams and old people are my main concern in Cinema and in "Starring Julia" I combined them"
Starring Julia was in the official selection at the Beirut International Film Festival 2012 and Baghdad International Film Festival 2012.
