El Secreto de los Yumbos

The book The Secret of the Yumbos is an Ecuadorian novel written by Santiago Páez in 2008. It is based on the Ecuadorian culture, as it focuses on an interesting culture, Yumbo, and the story takes place in the mountains of that country.
Plot
This is a young man named Camilo Astorga, or Milo, aged approx. 16 years old who loved to be with their friends in the city of Quito and also likes to practice aikido. A normal Wednesday afternoon, returning from the kind of aikido, the taxi window, he sees his house destroyed by a small bomb, its neighbors and his father, Marco Astorga pale to see the house. Milo gets off the taxi and asks to Marco, his father, then the reason was that he (Dad) had discovered an energizing plant in the jungles of the Sierra, the curi caspi, and was highly valued by the two food companies . Mistakenly locked the dad in jail. Milo, who was sheltered in the house of Doña Margarita, (the neighbor) for his dad fix this as soon as possible to allow time. For this, there were the villains of the company, the manager and assistant manager of this: Lucio and Larreátegui, chasing Milo.
Margarita prepares dinner, and then, without problems, eating alone. Over dinner in the news, gave a report on the unjust arrest of Marco, Milo goes crazy. In the end, he falls asleep.
The next morning, the man who took care of the place awakens Milo, warning that the owner comes and then leaves. Milo is attracted by the beauty of nature in this region of Ecuador, come to a cave and spend the night there.
