Eknath Pawar

Eknath Pawar is an Indian poet, writer, thinker and film lyricist. He is a strong advocate of human values and is a prominent figure in social, educational and environmental movements. He wrote lyrics for the Marathi film Shyamchi Shala. Apart from this, he has also composed songs for the short films 'Clean Green' and 'Shivar Majhan Jalyukt'. His father's name is Vishwanathrao and his mother's name is Bhagyarathi. He has written on the sorrows of rural life, the intense awakening of human values, the suffering of the underprivileged, and the problems of the poor. Many of his compositions have been broadcast on All India Radio. He has also written extensively in newspapers. Pawar's short story 'Clean Green' also has melodious songs and veteran actor Arun Nalawade played a role in it. Arun Nalawade, Vijay Patkar, Milind Shinde, and actress Nisha Parulekar have played lead roles in the tax-free film Shyamchi Shala.
Eknath Pawar started a campaign directly on the farmers' embankments. In 2017, he was given a special mention in the Legislative Council. He also received the India Book of Records in 2019. His concept was recorded as 'Revolutionary Initiative for Farmers'. Eknath Pawar was the first to start the innovative practice of celebrating 'Agriculture Day' directly on the embankment. Along with literary writing, he also contributed to the social and environmental fields. He also undertook the 'Constitutional Rights Literacy Campaign' to instill constitutional awareness and provide social justice to the disadvantaged groups. He introduced the innovative concepts of 'Selfie with Farmer', and 'Farm School on the Embankment' to instill the values of gratitude towards farmers in the new generation.
