Egyptian involvement in the Syrian civil war

Egyptian involvement in the Syrian civil war has been Egypt's involvement in the Syrian civil war, either militarily or politically. Egypt is a vocal supporter for President of Syria Bashar al-Assad, the Russian intervention, and the Iraqi Government. However, Egypt is a bitter rival of Iranian backed groups like Hezbollah, the Houthis, the Popular Mobilization Forces, Polisario-led Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic, and People's Protection Units, as Egypt supports Morocco in Western Shahara and Saudi Arabia in Yemen, respectively.
Involvement
Egypt has vocally supported Syrian Government in 2016 and 2019. On July 30, 2020, Anadolu Agency alleged that Egypt had sent 150 soldiers to assist the Syrian Government.
