Edward Vinatea is an American mixing and a mastering engineer. A musical person, he studied piano theory at the Bradley Music Learning Center on 14th Street, Manhattan, New York. He then studied audio engineering at the White Cloud studio in Long Island. His teacher was studio owner Howard Stein, a former Madison Square Garden engineer. Edward went on training in the art of mastering with Dick Charles (Richard Charles Waldspurger) who had a mastering facility in Manhattan, New York. Until today he is actively writing online about audio and likes to share his knowledge with other musicians in general. In 1988 he teamed up with Brian Bonhomme, the former lead guitarist of eighty's rock band Roman Holliday, and formed a songwriting-duo. Brian's best guitar collaboration can be heard on "Earthsong". In 1997 he worked with producer and label owner Kimo Kaulani and mastered Geri King's second CD album release and all King's subsequent releases. With Kaulani, Edward Vinatea would create a business relationship that lasts until today, mastering all his labels' artists. In 1999 with Randy Irwin, manager of the Shirelles, worked on remastering "Shirley Alston With A Little Help from Her Friends". He has also mastered Shirley Alston Reeves's current Live show CDs (formerly known as Shirley Owens). In 2005 Edward Vinatea mastered Cindy Blackman's (Lenny Kravitz drummer) "Music For The New Millennium", a double CD Jazz album that had a critical acclaim and was well received by the Jazz community. Kimo Kaulani was also part of the mastering credit. Another artist mastered in 2006 by Vinatea is singer-songwriter and TV star John Davidson who was famous for hosting the NBC TV show and who is now dedicating to making music and comedy at select locations.
