Edward Roy Tinsley IV (born October 7, 1980) is an American businessman and the oldest child of Edward R. Tinsley III. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California (BA), London School of Economics (MSc) and Brooklyn Law School (JD). Tinsley is married to the American actress Kelly Frye, who has been featured in such television shows as The Flash, Rake and NCIS. Early Life and Education Tinsley was born on October 7, 1980, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to restauranteur Edward R. Tinsley III and his wife Meredith G. Tinsley. Tinsley has a younger sister Ede P. Tinsley. Tinsley's parents were born and raised in West Texas. Tinsley's grandfather, Clement Enos George was a notable oil and gas developer that arrived in the Permian Basin in 1948 just prior to the discovery of the prolific oil fields in the region. During his early childhood, Tinsley attended the Albuquerque Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He since went on to obtain his Bachelor of Arts in Communication and International Relations from the University of Southern California. From there, Tinsley attended the London School of Economics and received his Master of Science in European Politics and Governance. Several years later he attended Brooklyn Law School and thereafter worked as M&A attorney for Linklaters in London and New York. Business career In 2012, Tinsley and Morgan Booth founded Southwestern Growth Partners ("SWGP"), a small private equity firm based now based in Houston, Texas. In 2015, SWGP acquired a controlling stake in the 50 year old K-BOB'S Steakhouse regional restaurant chain. Since that time, Tinsley and Booth have deeply involved themselves in the operation of the business in an attempt to execute a significant turnaround of the 50 year old business and position it for future growth.
