Edmund F. Brennan is a magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. Presiding over civil matters for the U.S. District Court System. Appointed by former President of the United States George W. Bush. Judge Brennan has been serving on the U.S. District Court bench since August 2006. Educated in the Midwest and West he has a J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles in 1979. He began his public service career in 1977 with the Social Security Administration leaving there in 1984 to clerk for Edward J. Garcia with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. He was there until 1988 when he went to work for the U.S. Department of Justice in 1994. Judge Brennan worked on civil matters with the U.S. Attorney's Division for the Department of Justice from 1994 to 2006 when he was made a judge by the Bush Administration and has been presiding over civil matters for the federal court system. Brennan is not married and has no children.
