The word ecodestrian is founded by David Joyce. The word is a cross between the two words Ecological and Pedestrian. ECOlogical + peDESTRIAN = ECODESTRIAN.
The word means a member of the public who chooses an alternative mode of travel other than motorvehicle . Such as walking on foot,cycling on bicycle,skating on a skateboard or using rollerblades. A ecodestrian does not belive in driving a car of using any mode of transport that is harmful towards the environment. Ecodestrians believe that all modes of transport that contribute to global warming should not be used and a eco-friendly alternative should be considered. There are many ecodestrians around the world who share the same views and opinions. All ecodestrians want to make the world a greener place to live.
