Eco Friendly Lord Ganesha Idols

Ganesh Festival is the most Famous festival of Maharashtra. It is a festival which is celebrated with full enthusiasm as everyone brings Lord Ganesha at their homes. Nowadays, Ganesha idols are made from plaster of Paris(POP) so that they become light weight and more attractive. However at the end of this function, the Ganesh Idols are immersed into water. Plaster of Paris is believed to cause pollution when dissolved in water. But If Ganesh Idols are prepare out of a well kneaded mass of paper, It does not create pollution. Very important thing is that these idols are cheaper than other idols. Similarly, these idols dissolve very quickly in water and this well kneaded mass of paper is not harmful to water hence there is no water pollution, as well as there is restraint of dirt and decay of Idols on the seashore. |
