Ebrima Sanneh

Ebrima Sanneh is a Gambian footballer who currently plays for Nairobi City Stars in the second tier Kenyan National Super League as a striker. He previously played for Real de Banjul before coming to Kenya initially on a six months loan in 2014. He never got to play that season due to paperwork issues. He later moved to Ushuru F.C., Kariobangi Sharks then to Ethiopia's St. George's FC before returning home to Nairobi City Stars in April 2019
Club career
Real de Banjul
In 2014 Sanneh guided Real de Banjul to their 12th GFA League First Division title after his goal against Hawks and that of defender Bubacarr Sanneh sent the team seven points clear.
Nairobi City Stars
In July 2014 Sanneh was recommended to City Stars by former coach Bai Maleh Wadda who had been with the team from Sep 2012 - June 2013 to help solve goal scoring problems. After his initial six months loan stint he extended his stay by two years.
Sanneh established himself at City Stars such that at the end of the 2015 season he scored an equalizing goal in a season ender against Sony sugar that saved the club from the jaws of relegation. At the end of that year he was nominated for two Kenyan Premier League awards; Most Valuable Player. He missed out on the title but emerged first runners-up in the New Young Player of the year.

Ushuru F.C.
In 2016 Sanneh moved, finally, to Premiership side Ushuru (formerly KRA). He had been linked to the same club at the end of the 2014 season on a two-year loan deal from Real de Banjul but his move fell through. But following mass exodus at the end of 2015, Sanneh made his move to the Ken Kenyatta-coached side. Ushuru landed his signature ahead of newly promoted Posta Rangers. Other quarters intimated that as Rangers sought him, Sanneh was biding time to join Gor Mahia till Ushuru sealed his moved.
Kariobangi Sharks
In 2017 Sanneh was off to Kariobangi Sharks on a two-year deal joining a team that was making their debut in the Kenyan Premier League.. He made his debut on 18 June 2017 in a 0-0 draw against Tusker in Machakos. In spite of a perfect preseason in 2017 where he averaged almost a goal a game, he dipped in form - partly due to injury - and was ultimately overshadowed by Masoud Juma who emerged as the league's top scorer that season with 17 goals. He however led his team to a silver medal in the domestic Cup GoTV Shield Cup. He was to leave the club at the close of the 2018 season.
St. George's FC
After his Sharks stint Sanneh was off to Ethiopia to join St. George's where he found play time hard to come by due to stiff competition from West Africans for the few months he was there. He then opted to return home to rejoin City Stars who were fighting relegation in April 2019.
