EARIST Technozette

EARIST Technozette (abbreviation: ET) is the official student publication of the Eulogio "Amang" Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology . ET is a member of College Editors Guild of the Philippines. ET released 2 issues every two months or at least 7 issues in an Academic year. It is more commonly known to EARIST students as Tekno (pronounced tek-noh)since 1990.
History
Early Years
ET was established on the first semester of academic year of 1980 . Zoilo Galang was the first Editor-in-Chief of the Technozette. He was a Electrical Engineering student and also a former staff writer of "The Evening Pogress", a student publication of evening vocational school. On that year, Tekno was under and controlled by Publication, Documentation and School Paper Services (PDSPS) headed by Dr. Portia Nena Guimary and the first adviser of the publication was Mrs. Lourdes Menciano. The editors in chief next to Galang were Romeo Manlangit, Antonio David, Evangelio Pasikatan, Antonio Balesteros, Mario Vito and Romano Ruiz. Under the term of Editor in Chief Ernesto Espano, PDSPS was changed to Communication and Information Center headed by Dr. Herculano V. Sabas. They released 5 issues per academic year and every issues there were 4,000 copies.
2000-2005
ET was fully autonomous and operating without adviser on the Alquisola administration but 2006 Institute Student President Ferraro opposed the moved of publication and filled a petition to dissolve ET. The said moved of the ISG President was failed due to the legality of ET's action regarding the operation of publication without adviser .
ET's darkest years
On 2007, the ET Editorial and Staff were banned from the school for almost a week after held a protest action against the administration’s oppressive decisions for not releasing publication fund . But after a long dialogue in Administration and proving that publication moves are all in legal, ET was successfully access the fund.

Aside from the newspaper, the paper also releases Liyab, a literary folio and Teknoshit, a lampoon issue of publication.
