Dynamite (roller coaster)

Dynamite is an upcoming thrill coaster at Freizeitpark Plohn in Germany, and is set to open in 2019. The ride will be Mack's second BigDipper model; a low capacity roller coaster with "winged" cars that pack a gigantic thrill into a small space. The ride will be situated on a spacious site that includes the area occupied by the Silver Mine, which was dismantled shortly after the official announcement in 2017. Renderings and animations were released August 12, 2018. Dynamite is said to be the largest investment in the history of Freizeitpark Plohn.
Trains
The ride will operate with two open air trains, each consisting of one car that can hold up to 8 riders in 2 rows of 4. To enhance the experience, the ride operates very much like a Bolliger and Mabillard floorless coaster, where riders feet are left dangling in the air. This unique car is what classifies the unique Mack BigDipper. Similar cars can be seen on Skyrush, which is manufactured by Intamin, but its capacity is quadrupled and only the outer riders are left without a floor.
Ride experience
The car hits the lift hill directly after leaving the station, ascending at a rough 45° to a height of 144.3 feet. From there, the train slowly flips over into a unique "Dive Drop", most of which are seen on Bolliger and Mabillard Wing Coasters. The drop leads into an underground tunnel that, surprisingly, actually required real Dynamite to burst through the bedrock. Following that is a non-inverting Immelmann loop, and then a low lying 270° clockwise helix that sticks very close to the ground around the lift hill. The two remaining inversions (a very tight Vertical Loop and a Zero-gravity roll) follow suit directly after that, and a counter clockwise 180° takes riders right into the brake run.
Similar rides
Lost Gravity at Walibi Holland opened in 2016 as the first ever Mack BigDipper coaster. The coaster is longer, though, and has several similar elements, including the Dive Drop. Lost Gravity was a world premiere, and brought an entirely new ride experience to the amusement industry.
