Dublin University Publications Committee

The Dublin University Publications Committee aims to promote knowledge of, and participation in, publishing and media among students in Trinity College, Dublin. It consists of an annually elected executive, and the editor of each publication. The committee draws its finances from a grant from the Capitation Committee.

Purpose
The purpose of the Dublin University Publications Committee is to provide a support framework for the various students' publications that seek its support. This support framework includes, but not exclusively so, the provision of partial funding, equipment and facilities, expertise and the maintenance of a resource library. In this way the Dublin University Publications Committee seeks to encourage, develop and expand the range of student publications on offer in Trinity College, Dublin.

As part of its efforts to provide students with an opportunity to meet leaders in the fields of publishing and journalism the Dublin University Publications Committee hosts annual Alumni events where Alumni and students can interact and exchange expertise.

Structure
The Dublin University Publications Committee consists of an Executive and ordinary members. The Executive consists of the Officers of the Committee while the ordinary members consist of one representative of each of the recognised or provisionally recognised publications. This representative is generally the Editor of that publication.

Meetings are held regularly at the discretion of the Committee to discuss matters generally relating to funding and facilities. An AGM is held annually where the new Editors and Officers are elected.
