Dub From Atlantis

Dub From Atlantis started life in the summer of 2000 at Cosies Wine Bar on Portland Square in the heart of Bristol's St Pauls. Resident DJs Stevie and Guy (The Men From Atlantis) played roots, reggae, dancehall and dub music. As the nights got busier and more DJs got involved, they decided to step up their promotions and moved to The Croft, where they continued to develop the club environment with the use of lighting and a larger sound system. With an ever-increasing roster of guest DJs, Dub From Atlantis was able to provide a full cross-section of music, creating a unique platform for all styles of reggae; from dub and dancehall to roots, breaks and drum & bass. The night spent most of 2005 - 2006 at the Thekla, but when this closed for refurbishment, Dub From Atlantis moved to the Blue Mountain on Stokes Croft for a brief period in autumn 2006. It is now every other Thursday at Native. |
