Chris Jane

Christopher Robert Jane (born 03 October 1981, in Lansing, Michigan) is an American Christian Singer/Songwriter. He is the founder of the Azusa Street Music School, Azusa Street Music Ministries and the "Leading Worship: a Guide" podcast.

Beginnings
Born the 4th of 6 children to Roger and Sylvia Feldpausch, Jane was raised in a christian home. Upon graduating from high school, he took his diploma and disappeared for five years. When asked about this period he says "I just wanted to get some living done." During this time, Jane began to feel the call of God on his life, but resisted and went further and further away, getting heavily into drugs and alcohol. It was at his lowest point that he met his future wife and began to climb back. They decided to settle in Michigan to be near his family and joined his parents at the family church that first Sunday. It was the day that would change the course of his life forever. Having what Jane calls "grown-up" things to be repentant of, He gave his life to God for good. " I promised Him that if He would protect me from my demons that I would serve Him with the rest of my life. And I intend on doing just that."

Career
After playing Drum Set, Percussion, Guitar and Bass Guitar for several bands throughout the late 90's, it wasn't until his conversion to true christianity that Jane really began creating worth-while music and lyrics that connected him with listeners. His song: "I'm Glad You Came" chronicles that period in his life and his changing relationship with God and his newborn son. In 2005, he started the Azusa Street Music School, teaching students of all ages to play guitar, bass guitar, drums and piano as well as teaching voice lessons. To date, the Azusa Street Music School has taught over 130 students and counting, hoping to impact the lives of as many as possible says Jane. He has worked with several churches to create contemporary style worship services and is currently worshipping at the Revival Christian Center in Big Rapids, Michigan. He started Azusa Street Studios in 2007 and has been producing records for artists on his label "SonDial Records" as well as working on new releases of his own. He has also been playing with up and coming christian act The Ultimate Engagement.
