Dreamweavers are a fictional group featured in the Age of the Five series by Trudi Canavan.
The Dreamweavers pledge to do no harm. The group was created by Mirar, as a way of using other magical abilities peacefully, without relying on the power left over by the Gods. Mirar founded the Dreamweavers as he was deeply mistrustful of the Gods' plans. Seemingly to further his distrust of the Circlian Gods, they have outlawed the solicitation of Dreamweaver skills: none may use the talents of a Dreamweaver, and the punishment for breaking this law is imprisonment. This decree is only lifted during times of heavy warfare, when even the Gods recognize the importance of having gifted Healers on their side.
Dreamweavers have abilities in healing far above those of either the Circlians or the Pentadrians, and use them to help both sides during the war. They also have the ability to manipulate dreams, share memories, and use 'natural' magic, and are skilled at using herbs and plants for healing.
Notable Dreamweavers are Raeli adviser to the white , Arleej, dreamweaver elder and leader of the Northern dreamweavers, and Mirar (founder).
