Carolyn F. Salter is an American practicing physician and a former mayor of Palestine Texas. She unsuccessfully contested against Lance Gooden in 2020 United States House of Representatives election from Texas's 5th congressional district. Early Life Salter was born in Denver, Colorado. She earned a degree from UT Southwestern Medical School at Dallas in 1981. Her professional experience includes working as a physician. Salter was board certified as an anesthesiologist in 1989. Her experience has also included serving as a general practitioner with a focus on pain control in the private medical practice shared with her husband in Palestine, Texas. |
