Dr. Anne Drysdale

Anne Drysdale (born October 25, 1953) is a Canadian ophthalmologist currently living and practicing medicine in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Drysdale is proficient in cataract surgery, other operative procedures, and specializes in ultrasound of the eye. She sees a variety of medical cases daily, and deals with surgical cases at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH). Currently, her practice is not seeing new patients.
Early Life and Education
Dr. Drysdale was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan to Dr. Ronald and Phyllis Drysdale. In 1958, Dr. Drysdale moved to Prince Edward Island with her parents and two siblings, Janet and Sandra. There in PEI her younger brother Douglas was born.
Dr. Drysdale attended West Kent Elementary School for grades 1-6, Queen Charlotte Public School for grades 7-9, and Colonel Grey Secondary School for grades 10-12, all of which are located in Charlottetown, PEI.
In 1971, Dr. Drysdale attended Acadia University in Wolfville, NS. There she studied math and biology. After two years of university, Dr. Drysdale left Wolfville to start studying for her medical degree at Dalhousie University in 1974. She graduated Dalhousie Medical School in 1978, and went to pursue a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Toronto.
Career
Dr. Drysdale began her career as an ophthalmologist on November 21, 1983, where she began practicing in Oakville. Her hospital privileges include Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) in Oakville, and Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burlington. Dr. Drysdale was Chief of Ophthalmology at OTMH from 2000-2006.
