Dr Sayed Jumaa Salam Dr Sayed Jumaa Salam (also known as Shaykh Jumaa) is a Muslim lecturer, Imam and teacher who is based in the United States. He has authored many articles on various aspects of Islam, especially Hypocrisy and its Effects on the Nation and Women Status in Islam. His seminars on the topic of Quranic Tafseer are extremely popular in North America. This includes one of his famous lectures called Prophets in Islam. Also he often featured as guest presenter and keynote speaker at various Islamic events as well as frequently appearing on various Islamic satellite TV channels. BackGround Shaykh Jumaa was born to Egyptian parents in Mansoura in Feb 7 1970. He migrated to the USA in 2000, where he presently resides in Los Angeles, California with his wife and four children. His mother tongue is Arabic, and he used to be fluent in Egyptian-Arabic (he is still good at speaking it) as well as English which he learned in the USA. Education Shaykh Jumaa completed high school in 1988. His desire to be part of a better and more challenging educational system, took him back to do his Masters and Doctors in Islamic Quran Science in United States of America. Past Activities As a teenager Shyakh Jumaa led and involved in many Islamic life and helped the needy people in his home place also he was involved in Relief agencies and Organization working in the region of United States to help American people. During the period from 1992 to 2000, He led the masjid Huzaifah-Jordan as a full time Imam and serving the Muslim Community. As an Imam and Islamic leader in the community in Louisiana/Texas - from 2000 to 2008 he served that community and gave fatwa to the needy people still he is providing fatwa to people across the United States of America. However in American International University he was a Professor for Quranic Sciences and Tafseer as well. Present Activities Shaykh Jumaa is regularly invited to speak at various Islamic conferences and conventions in the USA. However working with the community he took initiative to start a satellite program called Al-Ameen Channel to bring and guide people in Islamic way also he is the CEO and Founder.
