Dorota Malek

Dorota Karolina Malek (born September 1, 1985) is a singer and songwriter based in Austria.
Career
Malek began her singing career in 1999 at the age of 14. She was lead singer in the band ALICE from 2003-2006 and started her solo career in 2007. Malek released the 3-track EP "Loosing Myself" in January 2010. The EP was produced by Karen Stever and Frank Gryner (Rob Zombie, A Perfect Circle, Tommy Lee, Spineshank). In 2010 she met , their members and Nightwish merchandiser invited her to tour Finland/Iisalmi where she played in different clubs. In June 2011, Malek made a guest appearance on the track "Noora" by Dutch/Finnish band Tornado (released on the album "Amsterdamn, Hellsinki", produced by Peter Tägtgren). The debut album "Dayphobia" was released in digital stores in October, 2011. This record was produced by Malek, Lars Rettkowitz (Freedom Call), and Dave Freakazoid. In February, 2012 Malek signed with NoiseHead Records to release "Dayphobia" in March, 2012.
