Donnie Dumphy is a Canadian comedy musician from the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Dumphy's music can best be described as Jib rap, and has a following on Youtube, where his featured video "Havin a Time" has close to half a million views. Dumphy and his girlfriend Brenda hosted the 2009 Grand Falls-Windsor, NL Salmon Festival, featuring headliner Akon and some 20 000 people in attendance. Dumphy's following is growing; his song "Havin a Time" was featured on the Ron and Fez show in August of 2009. On August 21st, 2009, Dumphy was featured on the Ron and Fez show on Sirius/XM satellite radio, a platform having over 20 million listeners. Dumphy discussed life in Newfoundland and his increasing fame as his YouTube video "goes viral." |
