Donald Walker (musician)

Donald Walker (born November 21, 1949) is an American author and musician.
Early life and career
Donald Walker was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the Fall of 1949. After graduating from high school, he decided to pursue a career in the field of music as a musician and bandleader.
Relocating to Los Angeles in 1970, Walker spent the next two and a half decades involved in the business of music. He recorded the events from that period in a book entitled The Unknown Musician.
Walker reconstituted his band as "A Different Bag" and brought in James Ingram from Revelation Funk. With Ingram's keyboard talents and vocals, the band proceeded to tour across the United States and Canada, and in 1974, they accepted an international engagement in Japan. They began hosting live gigs throughout Asia after opening for Ike & Tina Turner at Tokyo's Club Mugen.
After his return to Los Angeles, Walker started a seven-piece band called "A Touch of Fire" in 1982, which spent eight years touring Asia. Through his record company, Posh Records, he released hits like "Dancin’ Is Your Love" and "Skateboard" while experimenting with songwriting.
