DJ Qness is a South African Kwaito and House Music Producer. He has been very vocal about the development of local music in South Africa and recently appeared on the CNN website talking about how South African taxis influenced and affected the growth and development of South African dance music. He has worked with British artist M.I.A, who is currently signed to XL Recordings and has been a production partner to one of South Africa's most prominent successes in dee jaying; DJ Mujava who became very popular after he made the hit Township Funk and he has since appeared on the New York publication The New York Times for his work. DJ Qness is also a Monster Cable endorsee after he was announced South Africa's official Beats by Dr. Dre brand ambassador and spokesperson by Audiosure, a South African based electronics company which distributes Beats by Dr. Dre products in South Africa. |
