Dj jagz

DJ Jagz is a New York City / New Jersey based DJ known for playing many styles Techno and House music.
With a career in music spanning over 20 years, DJ Jagz has been through just about every aspect of the music business. As a DJ his career began in 1983 as a mobil jock, playing parties and being heavily influenced by the electronic sounds of Yellow, Art of noise, Kraftwerk, Yaz as well as the new wave sounds of the time. As music in the 80’s changed, he eventually would leave DJing to become a drummer for a Thrash Metal band for the next 6 years, gaining a moderate following and opening for some of the most popular local bands from the area.
In 1989 he returned to DJing, and to what would consume him for the next 16 years. In 1994 he created the promotion/production company of New World Productions, organizing and throwing parties and events in the New York tri-state area. This venture would enable him to work and perform at events with some of the top artists and musicians in the electronic world.
In 1998 he partnered up to launch the now defunct E-lastik Recordings label, which was responsible for releasing the highest selling Dance compilation in history (NYC Underground Dance Party 3).
In 1999 after releasing numerous mix & promotional material on his own, the CD Tranceformed was released worldwide by ZYX Music out of Germany, since then he has released the tech-house[] compilation Aesthetech, and in 2003 the label compilation Diesel Groove's All In One Megamix on Diesel Groove Records. He is also currently working on original material and remixes, as well as engineering and recording duties on other compilations for himself and various labels / artists in his studio.
