DJ Celeste

Celeste Heintz (b. January 12 1974, Amsterdam), known under her artist name as DJ Celeste is a dutch DJ - Producer.
Biography
DJ Celeste started collecting (dance) vinyl at the age of 15. Her main interest in music was for Club music, as she went clubbing at that age. hearing other dj's playing, using various techniques to scratch and mix various music styles. DJ Celeste plays styles like Ambient, Lounge, Trance, Techno and Electro. DJ Celeste calls her style of music mix Celestial Night Grooves.
In 1992 DJ Celeste was invited to play on Amsterdam local Pirate Radio Station Radio 100. After playing at Radio 100 she was asked to play for a clubbing audience at Amsterdam's Club Mazzo. People started to notice her talent for dj-ing and she began as a warming-up dj for famous dj's like Dimitri and Crazy Shaun. DJ Celeste starts to organize her own parties at venues like Club Amnesia in Amsterdam.
In 1996 DJ Celeste was asked to come and play at TMF The DJ's, a television program for TMF, the dutch MTV.
In december of the year 2000 DJ Celeste became the resident of Royal Café De Kroon located on the famous Amsterdam Rembrandtplein, where she played the music every friday and saturday night till november 2001.
DJ Celeste played in various coutries like The Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Israël, Turkey and Indonesia. She also was the very first dutch dj who played at various venues in Beijing, China. This was documented for dutch television broadcasted by Humanistische Omroep for their youth program YOY.
In 2011 DJ Celeste is active in the studio producing together with dutch dance producer XLR8. YouTube shows a teaser for their new track The whisper song.
