DJ Cadence

DJ Cadence, or just Cadence, is a fiction DJ, singer and dance in the virtual online game, Club Penguin. Her favorite phrase is, "It's time to dance!". She likes to call herself the "Dance Machine". She also owns a purple puffle named Lolz.
Like other mascots, she waddles around Club Penguin Island giving out backgrounds to penguins lucky enough to meet her. She is controlled by a bot.
Role in Club Penguin
Cadence is a famous DJ on the island of Club Penguin. She works at the Night Club, giving dance lessons to many penguins. She appears in the minigame Dance Contest. At the end of the game, she will judge you on your dancing. She has made many appearances in The Club Penguin Times newspaper. Cadence first appeared hosting the Dance-a-thon event in January 2009. Since then, she has appeared at many other events, including the Fashion Show, Make Your Mark: Ultimate Jam, Music Jam, Puffle Party 2011, Penguin Play Awards, and Hollywood Party.
Design
Cadence appears as a peach cartoon penguin, wearing a yellow and pink scarf, shoes, wristbands, a pink and purple wig, and green headphones. In 2013, Disney gave Cadence a black shirt, with a purple belt around the waist.
Personality and traits
Cadence is known to be a bit of a girly girl. She seems to act like an average teenager. She is a hip and cool penguin, because she uses slang and acronyms. She is also very friendly and usually becomes friends with penguin pretty easily. She has an extreme fashion sense and loves clothes. This was witnessed when she hosted the Fashion Show in February 2012. She is also known to be obsessed with music. Her favorite activities are singing and dancing.
Cadence usually writes or talks in slang, due to her "modern influence".
She has many different types of music she likes, that she can't choose a favorite. Her known interests are Rock, Indie, Hip Hop, Country, Dance, Dubstep, and J-Pop.

Besides the online game Club Penguin, Cadence has been seen in various media involving Club Penguin. Four songs sung by Cadence have been made music videos, and were released on the album Club Penguin: The Party Starts Now!; The Party Starts Now, Ghosts Just Wanna Dance, Cool In The Cold, and Puffle Party (Gotta Have a Wingman). She also has her own plush toy, and figurine made by Jakks Pacific.
