Divided Skies is an American thrash metal band formed in 2008. History Formed in 2008 by Roy Torres and Amazar Alvarez, Divided Skies were locally acclaimed for their fusion of melodic Thrash metal and progressive rock, a rare combination at the time. They achieved greater notoriety by playing with bands such as Swashbuckle, Vektor, Lazarus A.D. and Rumpelstiltskin Grinder. On October 2011, it was announced that Divided Skies was planning to change their sound. As they did do this there was mix feeling from fans and even members of the band. Original Drummer Amazar didn't see much of a future for him in the band, thus leading to him departing from the band. Songwriting for the E.P was done by November, and they hit the studio by December.
