Disney Channel Summer Events are season-long blocks with new episodes, movies, and events aimed at teens and children. Previous titles have included Raven's Psychic Summer, So Hot Summer! and Totally Rockin' Summer!. Starting in 2005, Disney Channel began airing Click it to Pick it! and in 2006-2008 the Disney Channel Games were aired. Raven's Psychic Summer 2004 In 2004, Disney Channel aired Raven's Psychic Summer. Every Friday during the summer, Disney Channel would premiere a new episode of That's So Raven, including a special musical episode of That's So Raven. It is supposed that 2003 and 2004 were mainly focused on That's So Raven, due to the New Year's Event of 2003 being hosted by the That's So Raven cast and the summer events for 2004 were focused on That's So Raven. Throughout the summer, fans were able to go online each week. They would be quizzed on a certain part of the new episode of That's So Raven of the week. Also, throughout the summer, Disney Channel would follow the casting process for a special guest on the special musical episode of That's So Raven, The Road To Audition. The winner got the chance to guest star as a hall monitor in that episode. == Disney Channel's So Hot Summer! 2005 == Disney Channel began airing So Hot Summer! in 2005 with brand new episodes all summer. * Lilo and Stitch: The Series (June 3, 2005) Also, new Disney Channel aired three new Disney Channel Original Movies. * Go Figure (June 10, 2005) * Life is Ruff (July 15, 2005) Click to Pick it! aired all summer long on Disney Channel as So Hot Summer's headline. == Disney Channel's So Hot Summer! 2006 == The So Hot Summer! event kicked off June, 2006. The headline music was "Pumpin' Up the Party" by Hannah Montana. New Disney Channel Original Movies aired as part of So Hot Summer! programming as well as the Disney Channel Games. * Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior (June 16, 2006) * Read it and Weep (July 21, 2006) * The Cheetah Girls 2 (August 25, 2006) Mixed up-Mashed Up Weekend During So Hot Summer!, Disney Channel aired That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana. This was a crossover episode that included 3 Disney Channel Original Series. The event was headlined as a Mixed up-Mashed Up Weekend. Disney Channel Games The first ever Disney Channel Games began airing on June 10, 2006. They lasted until August 19, 2006. Disney Channel's Summer Block 2007 Disney Channel began a block promoting the summer in June 2007. The headline music was "What Time Is It?" from the cast of High School Musical 2. Disney Channel removed Click it to Pick it! from the block, but 2 new Disney Channel Original Movies premiered. * Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board (June 8, 2007) * High School Musical 2 (August 17, 2007) Also, during the summer , Disney Channel aired 2 new short series. * The Road to High School Musical 2 * As the Bell Rings Disney Channel aired a weekend block entitled Wish Gone Amiss Weekend, which aired as a Friday, the 13 special event. Back to Back Afternoons From 3/2c to 7/6c, Disney Channel aired 4 shows with 2 back-to-back episodes. This 4 hour block aired during Summer of 2007 on Disney Channel. Six Prime Picks Every Morning starting at 9/8c, Disney Channel aired 6 shows from 9/8c to noon/11am c. This marathon was part of summer 2010 on Disney Channel, Disney Channel Games The biggest Disney Channel Games ever started on June 9, 2007 with Team Profiles during Super Saturday'. The Official kick-off of the games was on June 15, 2007. The Games wrapped on August 25, 2007. Disney Channel's Totally Rockin' Summer 2008 Disney Channel's Totally Rockin' Summer Block began Saturday, May 17, 2008. hhe Headline music was "We Rock" from the DCOM, Camp Rock. During Totally Rockin' Summer!, Disney Channel aired 2 musical Disney Channel Original Movies, to go with the Totally Rockin' Summer theme. * Camp Rock (June 20, 2008) * The Cheetah Girls: One World (August 22, 2008) During the Summer, Disney Channel aired, The Road to The Cheetah Girls 3. Totally Rockin' Marathons * Totally Rockin' Summer Movies Every day at noon, Disney Channel aired a movie as part of Totally Rockin' Summer. * Totally Rockin' Summer Mornings Every Morning, Disney Channel aired 4 back to back episodes starting at 10/9c. Musical Premieres * Hannah Montana: Best of Both Worlds Concert in 3-D * Studio DC: Almost Live Disney Channel Games The 2008 DC Games kicked off Sunday, July 27, 2008. The Games featured 5 events presented in 5 half hour shows. The games wrapped up on Saturday, August 31, 2008. Disney Channel's Summer of Stars Summer 2009 Disney Channel’s Summer of Stars debuted on Friday, May 29. This summertime lineup included special event episodes, new double-feature movies and marathons of Disney Channel series. The headline music was "Summer of Stars", a song intended for Summer of Stars. During Summer of Stars, Disney Channel updated the website and on-air graphics to fit the Summer of Stars theme. Summer Friday Nights Summer Friday Nights consisted of three shows: * Wizards of Waverly Place (New Episodes) * The Suite Life on Deck (New Episodes) * Phineas and Ferb (New Episodes) Wizards of Waverly Place aired first, followed by The Suite Life on Deck, and one full hour of Phineas and Ferb. Highlights included four new vampire-themed episodes guest starring Bridgit Mendler (Good Luck Charlie), Anne Ramsay (Dexter) and JD Cullum (Leatherheads), plus "Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana," a 90-minute event that brought three series together for one story aboard the S.S. Tipton. Select Fridays also delivered special telecasts of feature films, including an uninterrupted presentation of Disney’s "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" on Friday, June 19. Double Feature Saturdays Beginning Saturday, May 30, Disney Channel presented its double-feature Saturday movie night. Titles include the sing-along and dance-along telecasts of the Disney Channel Original Movies "High School Musical" and "High School Musical 2" on Saturday, June 20, and Walt Disney Pictures’ Academy Award-winning "Ratatouille," plus "Happy Feet" and "Another Cinderella Story," starring Selena Gomez. Disney Channel Sundays Sunday evenings on Disney Channel 2010, included the lineup of "Hannah Montana @ 7:30/6:30 Sonny With A Chance @ 8/7c" and "JONAS @ 8:30/7:30c" plus a Disney Channel Original Movie at 9/8c During Summer of Stars!, 2 new Disney Channel Original Movies premiered.
