Dirty Laboratory is an independent hip hop record label based in Denver, Colorado, co-founded in 1998 by Amado Trejo, Chris Steele, Rob (H20), and James Brown (Points).
The label is mainly composed of native Denver musicians. The label's first release was Time's first EP titled "Meditation of Thought." Dirty Laboratory then went on to release Time's first LP "Litterture." Shortly after his release Dirty Laboratory picked up Optikfusionembrace Extra Kool and Satyr after their label Audio Transients dissolved.
Releases for 2008 include LP's from Time, Extra Kool and Doctype. Dirty Laboratory has been noted as one of Denver's best hip hop collectives. Calm. has received airplay on KTCL 93.3 for their single Get My Mind Right and Time has been noted as one of Denver's best songwriters. Dirty Laboratory has also been featured as label of the month at the University of Boulder's radio 1190 AM
Aside from local Dirty Laboratory Productions receiving acclaim in Denver it has also received praise from around the world. Time was called "Hip-hop's prodigy" and "The future of independent hip-hop" in a French review. Other international praise comes from Benzine Mag from Time's album "The Fantastic Reality."
