Muhammad Dilwar Hussain (; born 5 May 1988), commonly known as Dilly Hussain, is a British journalist and the Deputy Editor of British Muslim news site '. Early life Hussain was born at Bedford Southwing Hospital in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England. His parents are Bangladeshi immigrants. Hussain attended Marlborough Lower School and Westfield Middle School. He completed his GCSEs and A-levels at John Bunyan Upper School. In 2009, he graduated with a BA Hons in Politics from the University of East Anglia. In 2010, he completed a NCTJ Certificate in Print Journalism at NoSWeat Journalism Training while reporting for the Bedfordshire on Sunday. Career In 2011, Hussain left Bedfordshire on Sunday, completed his internship at Press TV and then worked as a freelance documentary researcher at Press TV. In April 2013, he co-founded the British Muslim news site 5Pillars with Roshan Muhammad Salih. He is currently the deputy editor of 5Pillars. He is also a political blogger for The Huffington Post, a freelance writer for Al Jazeera English, a columnist for the Middle East Eye, and a contributor for the Foreign Policy Journal and Ceasefire Magazine. He regularly appears on Islam Channel, Russia Today, Sky News, BBC One, BBC Look East, BBC South Today and BBC radio stations discussing Middle East and North African politics, as well as domestic stories concerning British foreign policy, Islamophobia and the war on terror. In February 2015, Hussain appeared on The Big Questions debating whether it is better to speak with terrorists, is there any place for faith in schools, and the existence of Satan. In June 2015, he appeared on Sunday Morning Live debating the subject of British history and the duration of fasting in Ramadan. Personal life Hussain is a Sunni Muslim. He speaks fluent Bengali, and good Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi (Kashmiri). On 20 April 2014, he married Mahbuba Hussain.
