History
Digital Dementia is a relatively new concept. In the past, one would have to write down contact information in a rolodex or address book, snail mail prevailed, and research stemmed from hours poured over stacks of books. Nowadays, however, it is common (and more convenient) to add a phone number entry into a digital database, e-mail messages and multimedia, and research content online almost instantly. Humans have heavily relied on the internet and technology and as a result, remembering simple and minute details, such as a person's contact number or password, requires little effort. Unfortunately this phenomenon has severely and irreversibly affected our short-and-long term memory. Digital Dementia tell us that digitizing our everyday tasks is negatively affecting our brain's development and functions more so than ever before.

This is a kind of symptom originates from post-industrial society. Over-reliance on a variety of digital devices, such as cell phones, PDAs, computers, memory, and computational power are greatly reduced.
Now, modern people use digital equipment rather than their brain to remember things. The thing to remember any document or writing is shifted to your computer and we enter a phone number instead of having to remember that. Without the help of your PDA, we can't remember important dates such as anniversaries or to schedule meetings. Modern users unconsciously rely on digital devices. Thanks to the development of a wide range of digital devices, without the use of the brains own memory loss symptoms have appeared. Symptoms of dementia cause by the digital equipment—a Digital Dementia syndrome. Digital Dementia afflicts all ages but more frequently in the younger. Among the people who are dependent on digital devices is as simple as a family member or friend's birthday and do not remember. Digital Dementia weakens the memory and therefore our brain activity and development. However, experts say it activates the brain of simple computation or puzzle and regular exercises can mitigate or eliminate the symptoms of digital dementia. More fundamentally, however, is the advice is to slow down and live life the way analog sensibility as a way to prevent Digital Dementia syndrome.

-To develop habits such as carrying pens and paper.
- Write a daily journal rather than typing.
-When we do computer games, calculate the score ourselves.
- Speak out loud when studying.
