Diamond White Riots are a four piece indie/alternative rock band formed in Doncaster, England in 2015 by frontman James Bull (Rhythm Guitar/Vocals) and Brandon Clark (Bass Guitar). Shortly after, Morgan Wardle (Lead Guitar) and Jordan Courtney (Drums/Percussion) joined the band. Diamond White Riots debut self titled EP is set to release late summer 2016 and will consist of five original songs. The EP will include two of their already released songs "Jukebox & Bathroom Locks" and "Lady In Blood". When asked about the upcoming EP James Bull responded with "love, drugs and heartbreak", three words to describe the music, songs and over all feel of the approaching pocket album. The four piece have played multiple venues around the South Yorkshire area including supporting in Sheffield and playing at the Doncaster Fake Festival. History Diamond White Riots are named after the cider Diamond White and the Baltimore Riots. They formed when James Bull and Brandon Clark, having been good friends already, started a two piece. Shortly after, James got in touch with Morgan Wardle whom he knew from school to join as the lead guitarist. After a few months being together they started gigging and caught the attention of the Diamond Live Lounge venue who wanted them to send in a recording. The three were friends with Jordan Courtney who had a recording studio and was willing to record them. Not long after Jordan joined as the drummer. After a few months of establishing the band and practising they were eager to start playing live shows. They quickly made a name for themselves in the South Yorkshire area selling out The Leopard and becoming one of the youngest bands to play the Doncaster Fake Festival. Musical Style Diamond White Riots are an indie/alternative band who have been inspired by many artists and bands. James Bull's lyrics are reminiscent of Pete Doherty's, both singing about love and drug addiction. The music however is strongly inspired by artists such as and The Arctic Monkeys, with some tracks being riff orientated. Discography ;EP's * Diamond White Riots (2016 TBA)
