Devon Dorrity

Devon Zechariah Dorrity (born August 7, 1977) is a software executive, writer, and sculptor, born in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up across the United States as his father, Dennis O Dorrity was in the Armed Services.
From 1996 to 1998 he served a full-time religious mission in Alabama and Mississippi.
He graduated with a Bachelors Degree from BYU's Marriott School of Management in 2002. In 2004 he cofounded Digital Business Integration, Inc., a cloud services software company specializing in mobile technology for the construction industry. Digital Business Integration's primary product is hh2 Cloud Services.
Although he had done minor sculpture projects as a hobby, Devon began sculpting seriously in 2012. He competed his first monumental piece entitled, Queen of the Seas, later that year. It depicted a Cecaelia, a female octopus-human hybrid, holding a conch shell horn and a harpoon, floating in the water. It was chosen to be included in Spectrum 20: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art, a major art annual celebrating fantasy, science fiction, horror, comic, and surreal art.
In 2013, Devon Dorrity cofounded Mythic Studios, Inc. with his wife Christy. Mythic Studios is a creator and publisher of art and literature.
In 2014, Queen of the Seas was chosen by the Society of Illustrators to be included in their Spectrum Exhibit, a curated display of approximately 100 pieces of art from Spectrum volumes 16-20. Queen of the Seas was cast in bronze and sent to the Museum of American Illustration in New York City for the exhibit. The Spectrum exhibit went from September 2 to October 18, 2014.
Also in August 2014, Queen of the Seas, won a Chesley Award for Best Three Dimensional Art, from the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists.
