Detour To Hell is a 2006 American horror suspense film produced by husband-and-wife team Ray Etheridge, and Migdalia Etheridge, and stars Josh Medeiros, Dan Alvarez, Karina Bonnefil, and Joel Levitt. Production The project was filmed in Miami-Dade County, Florida, on a micro-budget of only $5,000. Exteriors were filmed on the grounds of Saint Thomas University, located in the city of Miami Gardens, Florida. The film's 'Betsy's Cafe' exteriors are actually a restaurant called "The Pit", located on the Tamiami Trail, in west Miami. Detour To Hell was showcased at the 2006 Miami Independent Film and Music Festival, and at the Delray Beach International Film Festival. Plot Tourists enter the rural town of Shellby, but they never leave. A group of campers stop for lunch in a rural town, where it appears that everyone is involved in something very sinister.
