Detonator Destroyer is a freeware program developed by Andrew Hall in 2001 for the NVIDIA video cards, mainly for the GeForce Series. It was one of the most common programs used for fixing driver issues with GeForce and the `Detonator` range of video card drivers. It allowed users with corrupt or incomplete installation of drivers to completely remove all traces of pre-existing drivers to install updated drivers fresh. Detonator Destroyer worked with Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows ME and was downloaded more than 500k times from one site alone. It it estimated that the over downloads were in the millions.
