Dennis Capps is an American film director, television director and television writer. For much of the 1980s, he worked as assistant director on the films Heart Beat (1980), Just One of the Guys (1985), Troop Beverly Hills (1989) and other films. During the 1980s, he was also a television writer, writing episodes for Chicago Story, Tales of the Gold Monkey and Charles in Charge (also a stage manager).
As an assistant director in television, he directed episodes of Friends, Wizards of Waverly Place and Jessie. As a head television director his credits are A Minute with Stan Hooper, According to Jim and Hot in Cleveland.
