Denise A. Rangel Tracy

Denise A. Rangel Tracy is an assistant professor of mathematics at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Education
Rangel Tracy graduated from Taft High School in San Antonio, Texas. She received her BS in mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2008 and her MA in mathematics in 2010.
Research and career
Rangel Tracy's doctoral dissertation focused on reflexive modules. She investigated the existence and abundance of them over non-Gorenstein rings. She then served as an visiting assistant professor at Central Connecticut State University before joining the Faculty at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2019. Rangel Tracy is part of the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) executive committee and the current AWM's media coordinator, where she manages the presence of AWM on social media and the web.
Rangel Tracy has led Edit-a-thons at both the Joint Mathematics Meeting and the AWM Research Symposium.
Notable Women in Math Playing Cards
Rangel Tracy initiated the Notable Women in Math Playing Cards Project which commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Association for Women in Mathematics. She collected data on 1300 women for this project.
