Demo 2006 is the first recording by American deathcore band Whitechapel. It features five tracks from the band's debut album, The Somatic Defilement, including two versions of Festering Fiesta. The artwork depicts the demo's theme, Jack the Ripper, as it shows an artist's portrail of what he may have looked like. The quality is virtually the same as that of their debut album, the most notable differences are in Articulo Mortis. Festering Fiesta There are two versions of Festering Fiesta on this demo, which have many notable differences. Track 3, the first version, is almost exactly the same as the recording of the song on The Somatic Defilement, but with slightly more muffled quality and a few differences in the way it's played. Festering Fiesta (New Version) is considerably faster, with some changes in the screams. It also involves more drum fills, and the guitar slides near the end are quieter and at a higher pitch.
