The Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society, also known as Delta Epsilon Iota (ΔΕΙ) or DEI, is an interdisciplinary academic honor society structured around career development. The Society works with students and university career centers around the country to form local, career-centered, student-led organizations. Delta Epsilon Iota was founded on December 7, 1994 at the University of Georgia and is currently headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The organization was founded to recognize students who excel academically and to help bridge the gap between those outstanding students and career services. Affiliations Delta Epsilon Iota is not a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS), the national organization that certifies honor societies. Delta Epsilon Iota is a "Fraternal member" of the Professional Fraternity Association.
