Delta Chi Lambda

About
Delta Chi Lambda, Inc. (ΔΧΛ) is an Asian Interest sorority in Arizona. It was established at the University of Arizona on October 11, 2000. Their mission is to promote positive Asian-American awareness, leadership skills, higher education, sisterhood, and community service. To support their growing membership, Alumnae Members established the National Board of DChiL in May of 2009.
The Asian-American population in Arizona is relatively small. The Asian population for undergraduates at the University of Arizona was 6.8% in 2008-2009. The Eleven Founders wanted students to have a "home-base" on campus. This allowed many young women to discover their ethnic background, have a home away from home, and build leadership skills upon their graduation.
