It was one of the first companies to incorporate the ease of online shopping with a gourmet food selection. The company specializes in sales of food gift items and gift baskets within the United States. The concept of using over sixty gourmet food manufacturers to improve upon the personal shopping experience of its customers was the idea of Eric Lituchy and Gina Ezratty, husband and wife co-founders in 1998. The company's name was decided on to emphasize the importance of the gift-giving experience as well as the gift itself. Delightful Deliveries has grown significantly in the passed five years with a 180 percent increase in sales and is recognized by Inc. Magazine as an Inc. 5000 Company (the fastest growing private companies in America) . It was awarded "Best on the Web" in 2008 by Internet Retailer Magazine . |
