Ahmed Hamdani

Ahmed Hamdani Real Name Syed Mohammed Ahmed Hamdani Born 10th October 1927 in Meerut, Uttar Pradseh, India, is a well-known poet & critic of urdu language. He completed his B.A. from Agra University in 1947 & before being awarded his Masters of Arts degree in Economics he migrated to Pakistan in 1949. He got associated with Radio Pakistan in 1951 & remained there until he got an early retirement in 1985. He started writing poetry in 1942. He is the author of following seven books:


1. Piasi Zameen

2. Qisa Nayee Shairee Ka

3. Silsila Sawaloon Ka

4. Iqbal Fikr o Fun kay Ainay Mein

5. Naye Rung Naye Dhung

6. Hijr Ki Chaoon

7. Nayee Shairee Kay Sutoon

He was awarded Pakistan's writers Guilt Award for Qisa Nayee Shairee Ka. He lives in Karachi, Pakistan.
